High Hand Holiday

by Greg Jones

The Venetian Poker Room started an early bird high-hand jackpot December 17, that runs until every jackpot hand has been hit.

Most of the rules are pretty straightforward: to be eligible, one simply must be playing in a cash game to qualify. There are a total of 21 jackpot hands and no limit to the number of times a player can win. Unlike some jackpots, there is not a minimum amount that needs to be in the pot to win, and hands do not have to be played to completion.

As each jackpot is won, the associated hand comes off the board.

Jackpots are as follows:

Spade royal flush                                    $2,000
Heart, diamond and club royal flush       $1,500
Spade straight flush                                 $1,250
Other straight flush                                  $1,000
Four of a kind                                          $500
