Feminist folk icon Ani DiFranco is legendary for her do-it-yourself business ethic, her prolific back catalog and the Bob Dylan-esque tone of her voice and lyrics.Lately DiFranco has been out of the spotlight. It’s been two years since DiFranco released any original material, which is normal for most recording artists, but DiFranco is known for releasing an album a year. She also recently gave birth to a baby girl. With a busy personal life and an album in the works, DiFranco is (not so surprisingly) returning to the stage this June—the woman just cannot stay away. DiFranco will likely serenade her Las Vegas audience with the clear intensity that marks her best songs, like “Pixie” and “Untouchable Face.” She will be appearing this month at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Ani DiFranco will play The Joint June 24 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $32.
