Room Manager, Maître d’Hugo’s Cellar, Four Queens

Albert Steele

As maître d’ and room manager at Hugo’s Cellar in the Four Queens, Albert Steele is the first and last person to see the restaurant’s guests. He has years of experience in the Las Vegas restaurant industry, dating back 30 years, so he knows what it takes to keep the intimate, old Las Vegas feel alive at Hugo’s. His previous experience as a butler only adds to his ability to anticipate what a customer will want, and to listen to their needs and concerns. Like many of the other “old school” restaurants in Las Vegas, the staff at Hugo’s has many years of experience, and with Steele at the helm guiding them, it’s easy to see why this restaurant remains a success after 30 years of operation. There is no substitute for experience and excellent customer service, things Steele delivers in spades. His charm, his wit and his attentiveness to the needs of the customers are all things that help Hugo’s Cellar remain one of the best—albeit often overlooked—romantic dining venues in the city.
