New Gold Found In Anthem

Bar Food With a Twist

New Gold Found In Anthem

Golden Tavern Group, a subsidiary of Golden Gaming Inc., made it an even dozen when it opened its 12th PT’s Gold tavern in Anthem, a master-planned community in Henderson, October 12.

“With our company constantly growing, we are excited for the opening of our newest PT’s Gold,” said Steve Arcana, vice president of operations for Golden Gaming Inc. “We look forward to garnering a strong relationship with the Anthem community and are thrilled to be able to offer them a place for entertainment, dining, gaming and more.”

The newest tavern at 2890 Bicentennial Parkway in Anthem has the same rich, dark woods at the expansive bar that provides video poker. Though the décor is comfortable and reminiscent of Old Vegas (there are plenty of photos of Frank Sinatra around); it is also refined and features custom lighting, stone columns and a table with a fire tube running through the center of it.

The pubs, which are sprinkled across the valley, are a favorite after-work meeting place and serves more than just burgers, beer, chicken wings, pizzas and other bar food. Corporate Executive Chef Joseph Romano has dressed the menu with coconut beer-batter shrimp appetizers, Cajun-style seared ahi, fried pot stickers and Asian-style ribs.

Still, there is plenty of bar food with a twist to be found at this trendy spot. The chicken wings come in 13 different flavors, including chile lime, baked Italian and the traditional barbecue. The sliders are four-bite burgers topped with grilled onions and go down good with a pint of Fat Tire. Add $1 for an order of fries.

The signature pizzas include a roasted vegetable creation for vegetarians and other styles such as chicken pesto and Italian sausage. Prices range from about $10 for a medium pizza to $16 for a large one. The salads keep it light with mozzarella and tomato and arugula and pear tosses; and the sandwiches contribute the traditional Philly and Cheese, clubs and roast turkey, along with unique wraps, such as miso glazed chicken and the Bikini Wrap with grilled marinated chicken, avocado and vegetables with ranch dressing. Sandwich prices range from about $8 to $10.

There is also a make-your-own burger menu that includes ingredients from fried eggs to chili to Ortega chiles to Cheez Whiz to crumpled blue cheese. The beef and turkey burgers are hefty 8 to 10 ounces and range in price from $7 to $8. The menu is rounded out by steak, chicken and fish dishes with prices ranging from $11 to $17.
The eatery, which is open 24 hours a day serves breakfast all the time. It’s the meal that is the lightest on the pocket book with items ranging from $5 to $10. It’s the usual fare of omelets, pancakes and steak and eggs.

But the most important thing to remember here is the PT Zookie ($6.99). The dessert is a giant chocolate chip, white chocolate chip, macadamia nut or peanut butter cookie baked in a skillet and topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It’s way big enough to share with all the office pals who had a hard day and don’t drink.

Those who do partake at the watering hole will find variety at PT’s Gold. From signature drinks such as the Golden Maggie, Cazadores Tequila, Citonge, Sweet &Sour and a slash of orange juice to martinis and cosmos, which includes the Razztazzmic, a mixture of SKYY Vodka and a splash of Chambord and Cranberry Juice. There area also a selection of beer and wine.

PT’s Gold’s the Golden Rewards player rewards system that allows members to earn free food and slot play at any of the tavern locations. PT’s also features Golden Jackpot, a player rewards program that offers patrons the chance to win instant bonus cash just by being logged in. The system links logged-in Golden Reward members at each tavern location, offering bonus cash each time a player hits one of three winning hands.
