Icahn completes ACEP sale
Carl Icahn completed the sale of American Casino and Entertainment Properties to an affiliate of Goldman Sachs for $1.2 billion.

The sale moves ownership of the Stratosphere and two Arizona Charlie’s casinos in Las Vegas as well as the Aquarius in Laughlin to Whitehall Street Real Estate fund.

Whitehall plans to invest $25 million in renovations at the Stratosphere, $10 million for a new bingo room at one Arizona Charlie’s and $19 million for room renovations at the Aquarius.
