Bjork’s technical director, Alan Pollard has been a vital component in the feisty Icelander’s tours for nearly a decade. The new tour is no exception.   

From other-wordly effects produced by smoke and light machines to the induction of  “collaborative digital audio instruments,” Pollard and Bjork have brought out their best stuff for the songs on Volta, Bjork’s newest album. And since all of Bjork’s songs are loaded onto the laptop which her onstage musicians jam with, anything could pop up.

Bjork plays the Palms Casino Resort on December 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $78 and $103..
