Kanye West has taken the world by storm in several ways. Most notably, he’s released some of the most celebrated albums in the recent history of hip-hip.

The same man who post Katrina said during a live fund-raiser that, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” brings his energetic and—defying his on-air comments—intelligent, if not politically myopic, brand of Grammy Award-winning hip-hop to the Pearl at the Palms to ring in the New Year.

Kanye West plays the Pearl at the Palms December 31 at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $150, $200 and $350.
