After Comedy Central gave this irreverent comedian’s Politically Incorrect the boot for being, well, politically incorrect, Bill Maher’s fans were clearly relieved when HBO decided to shoulder the risk of airing Maher’s controversial comedy in a new weekly show dubbed Real Time With Bill Maher.

If you haven’t yet familiarized yourself with why Maher is such a scandalous sensation (or can’t afford that hefty HBO bill) now is a great time to catch him on his current stand-up tour “Ride Alone,” which features new material from his latest book When You Ride Alone You Ride with Bin Laden.    

Bill Maher plays the Joint at the Hard Rock Casino Friday, December 21 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 22 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $35.50, $45.50, $59.50 and $95.50.
