Anthony Marnell III unveiled a model of his $1 billion M Resort on South Las Vegas Boulevard last month and talked about his plans for the new resort at a ceremony that served as a groundbreaking.    M Resort will feature an 11-story hotel with 390 rooms and suites, a 90,000-sqaure-foot casino and more than 40,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. Site work started in September and the property is scheduled to open in 2009.

“The driving force behind M Resort is service,” Marnell said. “We are bringing back the old Las Vegas hands-on approach to the property. We want our team members to recognize guests by name, not by a room card or number.”
