Las Vegas sees its fair share of stellar metal. But it’s an absolute necessity for any metal fan to check out Tool at the Palms on December 13 and 14.

The dark, twisted, creative metal band is best known for its ability to fuse artistic rock into a very heavy package. Often artsy and always strange, Tool isn’t afraid to mix up its metal style by offering its hardcore fan base doses of thrash, death metal, punk, progressive rock and melodic interludes.

Tool performs December 13 and 14 at 8 p.m. at the Palms’ Pearl Concert Theater. Tickets are $87 and $125.
