Tallest Tower No Tall Tale
It’s said that everything is bigger in Texas, and a businessman from the Lone Star state is hoping to export some of that grandiosity to the Las Vegas Strip.
Texas-based IDM Properties is teaming with Australian billionaire James Packer to develop the $5 billion Crown Las Vegas hotel and casino, which will boast a tower more than 700-feet taller than the Stratosphere.
IDM made a $40 million land-option payment to retain control of the 27-acre site that used to house the Wet ‘n’ Wild water park on the Las Vegas Strip.
Packer announced he is buying a 37.5 percent stake in the project.
