Sky Pilots at Hilton
While some Las Vegas casinos reward their valued players with rooms, dinners, show tickets and more, the Las Vegas Hilton is telling their best players to take a flight, literally.
The classic hotel/casino announced a new sponsorship with STRAC Aviation and CHIMPP Promotional Experts that will allow the Hilton to treat select customers to a flight in an L-39 Albatross, a Soviet-era, high-performance military training jet.
“This is not a ride simulation,” said Captain Bob “Snake” Cox, who will pilot the jet. “This is a genuine Soviet-era high-performance military aircraft, with a top speed of 600 miles per hour.”
Though capable of high-G air maneuvers and vertical climbing, Cox said he would take it easy on passengers and stick to maneuvers that have been discussed beforehand.
“We think our customers will be thrilled with the opportunity to experience the excitement and adrenaline rush that our new ‘MiG’ Fighter Pilot Experience offers,” said Tony Alves, Las Vegas Hilton’s director of casino marketing. “Few civilians have an opportunity to fly in a former military jet aircraft and we are pleased to offer this gift to our VIP customers at the Las Vegas Hilton.”
