El Cortez has automated its daily slot tournament, allowing Club Cortez members who earn 500 or more points in a single day the opportunity to play in a slot tourney the following day.

All players have to do is insert their club card in a tournament machine, play their session and check their standings the following day at 10 a.m. The highest daily tournament winner received $250, second highest $150 and third highest $100.

The daily top 10 winners are automatically entered into a weekly HDTV giveaway and $2,000 cash drawing.

Throughout the week, Club Cortez members also have the opportunity to win between $100 and $500 in promotional chips. Entry tickets for the drawing are earned by playing blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Tickets are awarded when a dealer receives a natural, when a 0 or 00 are hit on the wheel or every time a tie hand is dealt.

Double tickets are awarded on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and noon. The promotional chips can be used for any even-money bet on blackjack, roulette or baccarat.

One more thing from El Cortez: Free White Castle hamburgers will be given to Club Cortez members playing any table game or machine on July 4 between noon and 6 p.m.
