The Untouchables

The Untouchables
Intocable is one of the most popular Spanish-language artists in North America. The six-member group is typically classified as a fusion of traditional Mexican and tejano or norteño music, exemplified by use of accordion and classical polka rhythms.

The Texas-based band dons contemporary cowboy outfits for their performances, which are more like multi-generational dance parties. Parents, grandparents and teenagers show up for Intocable’s concerts—everyone knows the words and the aisles are filled with people.

Intocable has released more than a dozen albums, each of which has achieved great success with both critics and fans. Their releases do well in both Mexico and the United States, and they have won a handful of Grammy Awards. Their newest album, 2C, was released last month.

Intocable performs at the Orleans Arena July 26.
