Locals Joint on the Strip
The Sahara is taking a different approach from some of its counterparts on the Strip.
Management is asking Las Vegas residents what they want to see at the property, and implementing some of the suggested changes.
It is part of an effort to deal with the tourists spending less money on their Las Vegas vacation, as well as the possibility that fewer people will be visiting the city as the economy continues to stagnate.
It’s no big surprise what locals want: discounts on merchandise, show tickets and at restaurants, and better paying slot machines.
“They told us what slot machines they liked, so we set those games aside for them,” said Bill Trempler, vice president of sales and marketing at the Sahara.
