Pahrump Expansion
Golden Gaming announced that it will launch an $11 million expansion and renovation of its Pahrump Nugget.
The announcement came just days after the company announced it would not move to acquire the Saddle West casino.
Golden Gaming COO Steve Arcana said the company is better off focusing on developing its existing casino rather than adding another property to the portfolio.
“We’re still very bullish on the Pahrump market,” Arcana said. “It was mutually decided upon that it was in their best interest to continue to operate it, and it was in our best interest to focus on what we’re doing out there.”
The expansion at the Pahrump Nugget will include renovating the property’s 70 hotel rooms and building a movie theater.
Saddle West is owned by Anthony Marnell III and Sher Gaming.
