Lose Nelson has been a hostess at Baja Miguels since it opened at South Point. It is her first job at a Michael Gaughan property, and she is very impressed. “The casino appreciates what I do. It makes me want to do more because they really appreciate me,” she said. Nelson directs her energy toward putting the customers in the right mood when they arrive and making sure they are happy when they leave. Little things like smiling, making eye contact and remembering names and what people drink helps, but Nelson excels because she is dedicated to her job. “I love my job and people can see it. I love being a hostess and I take pride in being a hostess. You can tell.”
